Amateur Blonde - (Set time: 11:00 PM)

A new project headed by NYC singer songwriter Ryan RogerWith a very unique voice and a desire to shake every stage like The Who, Ryan Roger of Amateur Blonde
writes songs for the electric guitar and piano that are modern and rocking in nature, reminiscent of
Radiohead’s early album, ‘The Bends’). While you can always expect Amateur Blonde to thump hard
through a few original rockers when they play live, you can also expect to hear something inexplicably
honest and beautiful. One thing is absolutely certain, Amateur Blonde is a smart band that is truly great
on stage because you can tell they want to be the best band you’ve ever heard, and put on the best
show you’ve ever seen in what remains of New York’s live music scene.
“Amateur Blonde often ‘sways between ‘the beautifully tranquil’ and ‘the wild rock-out,’’ and both
sides of that polarity are represented well here in just over three minutes on their debut-album opener
called ‘Sobriquet’. Check out the full ‘Amateur Blonde’ record on Bandcamp” – Alex Moore diffuser.fm
Influences: (early) Radiohead, Superchunk, Pink Floyd, Pixies, New Order, Built to Spill, The Stooges

Downward Dogs - (Set time: 10:00 PM)

Downward Dogs bring acoustic punk up from the curbsides of New York City with an aggressive swing; we heard rock and roll needed more horn sections, so we obliged. Picture Pixies and Steely Dan rumbling in a Burger King parking lot, brass and drone braying from mono speakers. Say hello to big choruses, swaying anthems, yelping lyricism, terse minimalism. Feel the big comfy chair from which you bark your savage orders.
